Just a beautiful July evening

We have been having perfect weather lately. Nothing like our typical July's in the past! It hasn't been totally scorching so we have just been enjoying time outside with the kids.

We finally got Cali's swing attatched to the tree, she loves it as we knew she would! I swear I do Cali's hair everyday. If I don't put it up she just looks totally fierce but then again all of our kids had/have crazy hair! So yeah anyways she is in her diaper and her hair is already out and I truly think thats what makes these pics so damn cute!! Maya LOVES her new bike and can ride for hours if we let her. I have even let her go around the block! Okay with her brothers but still! The boys of course are gearing up for football so they played catch and we timed them on some sprints. Oh yes daddy took part in that too. By the way you can click on the collage and it will open up big so you can see each pic up close =)

5 year check up

On Monday Maya had her 5 year check up, WOW! Okay lets start with stats, yes she is still considered tall and skinny =)
Weight 36lbs 8 oz (puts her almost in the 8th percentile)
Height 43 and half inches (75th percentile on that one)
BMI or Body Mass Index (6th percentile)
Maya is rarely sick, I dunno maybe because she stays home with mommy. But as we all know that is about to be changing. The Dr was curious about how ready she was going to be to start school and she literally blew the Dr away! She def showed off her skills writing all of her letters and counting to 26. She knows quite a few site words and has no problems with simple math skills. She can recognize her numbers as well as write them. She had a lot of fun showing the Dr just how smart she is! and then............................................... the big question, Dr. Luong told her how proud she was at everything she knew and then said but.......... what about your thumb Maya???? With the biggest smile on her face she explained in detail that she has been planning on stopping the thumb sucking when she starts Kindergarten... Hahhahahah we'll see. At least its not an all day everyday thing but honestly she has already started and is doing well. We had a great check up and hopefully won't see the Dr again until next year!

Okay for those of you that have already seen/tried this........ Shame on your for not sharing!!! I have yet to try it but I am so excited too. Looking forward to tomorrow morning. Organic Batter Blaster. Pancake and waffle batter in a spray can. You can find it right next to the whipped cream. I think this will be like the best thing EVER for Stevie. He loves to make breakfast but always makes such a mess. Now I am just deciding if its going to be pancakes or waffles tomorrow! Yes you know I will be all greedy about it too. I will so have to be the first one to try it out. I can't help it... I'll let you all know how yummy it is after we give it a try. It should be yummy, right? Oh and the nutrition info... Camping No problems, No gltiches

Hahahahhah! Yeah right did you think that could ever happen? If only a trip with 4 kids and a dog could run smoothly! As if, right? We can handle glitches though so no problemo! We have had this camping trip planned for a year with a group of friends. Some made it and some didn't! We missed ya Bri, Amanda, Sophia, Scott, Lina and Mia. Becky, Jess and Ann Marie we are so glad we got to spend some time with you. and... finally we got to meet Beckys BF Stephen! We packed up the surburban literally til there was no room and off we headed to Lake Stampede!

I am to blame for the tent situation *hides* LOL Well I usually don't do the tent part. I pack the bags and food and all that. I did grab the tent, I just didn't realize all the poles weren't inside the bag with the tent. Okay fine, I didn't look because I don't put that tent up and I don't take it down. Steve, Jess and Steven headed into truckee to get a new tent. A very nice even bigger than we had tent! Fit 2 queen air matresses, a pack and play and all of our bags in there without a problem. I know what you are thinking but NO I didn't leave the poles at home on purpose!

We headed down to the lake for some fun. Maya got her hands on the chuck it and kept Trooper busy for quite some time. He didn't even get annoyed when her throws didn't go very far. Zo and Trooper had to have it out a couple of times until Zo got his butt tied up. As Becky would say its a boy thing and they both have balls so neither one wanted to back down!

Cali loved the dirt! You wouldn't even understand to the extent but the girl was filthy the entire time. Thank goodness for sand toys, or should I say DIRT Toys. Maya was right in there with her too. Edward enjoyed playing catch with Stephen and Steven could not stay away from the campfire! He claims he is not a pyro but I think we had to remind him a gazillion times to stop laying with the fire. and then of course we found sticks to roast marshmallows and make smores with so he was happy to have a stick in the fire again. Steve took the kids on a night hike the first night and then they came back and did shadow puppets in the tent. Those pictures just didn't come out! We let the boys go play tag at night with some boys that they met there and leave it to Steven to get lost and end up in another campsite. Stay in iron ox and stay together must mean do your own thing!! He got back safely and all was well. Then on the morning we had to pack up and head out by check out time at 11am. I get up to take Maya to the bathroom and stop at the truck to let Zo out to go too. OMG OMG OMG I have to wake Steve up he has 2 choices, watch the girls while I clean it up or clean it up. He chose to clean up the truck. Zo had obviously had a stomach ache and literally got diarrhea from front to back of my truck. I needed a good interior detail anyways!!! All clean, and all packed and all ready to go! Nope mom had put Cali in the truck and turned Hannah Montana on for her to listen to while we loaded up. Dead battery, we had been using this battery coverter all weekend long for all of our electronics and my poor truck was just drained. Of course I have jumper cables in my car, I don't leave home without them! So we made it home, safe and sound. Maya only gagged from the smell til she fell asleep LMAO! We still had fun and really enjoyed getting to spend some good quality time together as a family and with some friends. Next time we need more kids so its not always our kids getting into things hahahahahha Pics will be posted tonight =)

and the DIVA turns 5!!!!

So hard for us to believe that our Maya is already 5! As we woke up and said OMG we have ANOTHER one that is 5. How could we have a 5 year old and it be our 3rd! She is becoming such a lil lady, talk about craziness. Maya is about to be starting Kindergarten, in less than a month, what is mom going to do with only one at home??? My little helper is off to school *wipes the tears from my face"! Happy Birthday Princess we love you and will never forget your beautiful face. Ohhh and we love you to the mall and back heheheh!!! have a great day!

I swear our kids think that birthdays last for a few days, at least! We started on Sat. All of us headed out to dinner to celebrate Mayas 5th birthday. Dennys of course! The whole family in the car saying Chevy's and Maya had already made up her mind so Denny's it was. It is her birthday right??? So then Sunday rolls around and we do cake after dinner with Papa. Again her choice on cake so it was super dee duper sweet Strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting and chocholate sprinkles topped with a lucky number 5, no doubt.... No her bday was not Sat and it was not Sunday, her bday is July 7. We did our celebrations a little early because the kids and I were meeting Auntie Amy at Discovery Kingdom for our yearly trip. Auntie has shuttled out to 6 flags with us now for 7 years, Steve sends a big fat Thank You! Long, hot, sweaty, sticky day but nonetheless fabulous as always!!

Family and Fireworks

FYI you can read my captions by holding the mouse over the pic
So tonight when Steve got home from the shop (of course he worked on the 4th of July, would you expect anything else), we headed to Mando and Lori's for a BBQ and fireworks. The kids always love hangin out with the fam and the food is always yummy! Cali doesn't care where we are as long as we are outside and she has plenty of things to climb on. A few falls, bumps and scrapes and she is still chuggin! I was super stoked for Cali to see the fireworks this year because last year she could careless. She LOVED THEM! She was laughing and smiling and having a great time until she couldn't keep her eyes open. Maya was into sparklers this year and was super careful of herself and everyone around her. The boys were jumping out of their skin to get to be the big dudes that actually get to light the fireworks! Can you even believe that fireworks are still legal here? Crazy but I do have to say we def enjoy it. Hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th

Happy 4th!!!

Have a safe 4th of July
