I am so fortunate to get to go on field lessons with the kids. What I love the most is the fact that I get to hang out and spend some quality time with one child (oh and everyone in my group), that obviously just doesn't happen all that much. Its usually all of them so I totally take advantage of those field trips and volunteer time in the classroom when I can. We headed to the Train Museum and the Wells Fargo History Museum for Gold Rush Days with the 2 4th grade classes. Edward and I did this field trip when he was in 1st grade too. let me tell you..... So much better with 4th graders. I had 6 kids in the car with me and 4 in my group during the field lesson. It was so hot (about 105) out and we had a bit of a walk once we got there. The kids did amazingly well.

I got pics this time YAY!!!
I know you were all looking forward to the poopie nuggets but I decided not to take pictures of it. Okay so Cali was too excited to get it from the lil potty to the big potty and flush it so she could get her candy treat! but....... I did get pictures of her sitting on it! I am in no rush to get her potty trained, she is still young but since she is showing interest I am just going with it. Lets see if she breaks the record, Edward was the youngest so far potty trained at 20 months. He was kind of my overnight I potty trained myself guy one day in diapers the next wearing "chones" like all day and night no accidents!!!! Steven was potty trained right at 2, I think maybe a few days before he turned 2 (gosh that was ages ago, wasn't it)? and My My was just a few short weeks after she turned 2. So yeah we'll see. Honestly, this is one of my main reasons for using cloth diapers, I know most of you think I am nuts but it really isn't all that bad! Anyways, I will keep you informed on how Cali progresses. Oh I forgot to tell you how I have been just letting her run around naked so she can hop on the potty whenever she needs to. and YES these pics were all taken in the living room, she loves to bring the potty with her wherever she goes!!!

It all happened so fast...No pics =(
Cali has been telling me when she is going "caca" and "pee pee"! She usually runs off and does her thing and comes back to be changed. Since we have been watching our potty movie and sitting on the potty I figured hey lets do it. So tonight after dinner when she told me I said lets go sit on the potty. She ran to the bathroom and sat like she always does and I said lets take off your diaper. She stood right up and said "OFF"! Sat down on the potty and went pee pee and caca!!!! Everyone came in and cheered, she flushed her 2 tiny poopie nuggets and her pee pee in the big potty and got herself a yummy M&M for being such a big girl! Now we'll just have to see if she can keep it up!!
I will bring the camera in next time! I know you would love to see the pics of those 2 itty bitty poopie nuggets

Jamoboree August 23, 2008
What a day! I am not sure who was more excited, the boys or STEVE! We knew we were going to have an extremely long day. We were literally going to be out at the field all day long. Jamboree was held at Folsom High School so you know we were staying for the long haul, especially with gas prices they way they are hahahah. We dropped the girls off with Papa and Steve, the boys and I headed out early. We had to be there by 9 since Steven played at 1040ish. It was already hot when we got there. I can tell you, it o nly got hotter! Papa and the girls got their in time for Stevens game and we were all still doing very well. We watched Stevens team play! It grew more hot and the girls were still doing okay. As the day went on that sun would not let up and there was zero shade. The girls started losing it so Papa and I took turns keeping everyone happy!~ THANK YOU PAPA! Okay now its like 300pm and we have missed Calis nap and the girl is still going like a million miles a minute. Maya starts to lose it until she finds a couple of friends to play with. Not a second too soon either. We found a teeny bit of shade under some stairs and sat there for as long as Cali would stay still (30 seconds or so) LOL! About 400 maybe a lil later Cali finally fell asleep in my arms in the direct sunlight under her blanket. mommy was hot, sticky and sweaty. Papa saved the day with Nachos and a cold soda wooo hoooooo. Then there was these tiny bit of shade where a banner was hung, i laid cali down and she napped for a while there. Papa kept an eye on her while i was video taping Edwards game. It was one long ass day, that I thought was never going to end and Papa and I couldn't get out of there quick enough after Edwards game ended. There are not many pics of the games because I was video taping but there are some. Okay i just came up for a air LMAO, I know long winded but i was truly hoping to make you feel as if you were there in the sweltering heat hahahahahah!!! Boy am I happy I didn't have to wear all that gear. I think we went through an entire bottle of sunscreen tooooo =)
Oh and both of the boys played offense and defense! Edward my little quarter back did a fake hand off and ran for a touchdown the first play of the game. Of course he scored a touchdown, he is my kid ya know!

He had a great first day with Ms. Shaina and has no complaints yet, give him some time LOL Does anyone remember the way our Ed used to smile for the camera???? He must be too cool for that these days! Oh well at least he lets me still take them, right? We have high expectations for Ed this year and we know he will succeed once again.

Now for the scary thing!!!! Maya started Kindergarten today *CRIES*!! She was so ready besides the nerves last night. Once this morning came she was totally fine. I on the other hand was not so fine! I did hold it together until I got in the car after dropping her off. Maya also started at PS7. It was a big help that Steven was already a PS7 student and siblings do get priority but I am stoked that everyone will be on the same holiday schedule this year. Too bad they all get out at different times LOL. Maya is a later gator which just starts her an hour later than the boys in the morning. She made it through her first day away from mommy just fine(maybe a lil tired) and is looking forward to tomorrow.

Cali had a rough day! She was so used to having everyone around for summer and then BOOM, they are all gone. The gym was def not the same without sissy and the house was so quiet. We'll get used to it, I think!

Skills Camp
The boys were super excited to start skills camp for football. I had explained to them it was the leagues way of tricking them into how fun football seems. After skills camp starts the beg of Hell Weeks!!! They had a blast and so did daddy! Met lots of new friends played footbal in 100 degree+ heat for hours at a time but loved every minute of it.
The girls had a great time at skills camp too! They can keep themselves busy anywhere!
